In Japan, Sony introduces the HDR-FX1000 and HVR-Z5J DV-tape high-definition camcorders, and should hopefully go on sale within a couple of months. Sony has aimed the HDR-FX1000 at the high-end consumer market, while the HVR-Z5J is for the professional market. Sony HDR-FX1000 has the 3 Clear Bit CMOS sensor, a 20x optical zoom G series lens and Sony’s Exmor image processor.
The Sony HDR-FX1000 will cost around ¥400,000 (US$3,700) and will be available on November 10. while the HVR-Z5J in December for 554,400 Yen.
