HTC recently announced that they will launch the HTC Max 4G, the first handset in the World that has GSM/WiMax integrated. The HTC MAX 4G supports WiMax 2.5-2.7GHz network provided by Yota, in addition to tri-band GSM/GPRS,EDGE and WiFi 802.11b/g. However, these HTC Max 4G isn’t going to be introduced in the US market, but according to HTC PR, it’ll be launched at Russia where HTC will joint-venture with Russia’s Scartel on their ‘Yota’ brand WiMAX network.
HTC MAX 4G is powered by a Qualcomm ESM7206A 528 MHz processor, 256MB of ROM, 288MB of RAM. It features a 3.8-inch 480×800 LCD touchscreen display, TouchFLO 3D UI, a high-resolution auto-focus camera and a VGA front camera for video calls, Bluetooth and integrated GPS receiver.
The Windows Mobile 6 based MAX 4G has the Motion G-sensor for auto rotating photos and Proximity sensor for energy saving. It comes with also FM Tuner.
