HP Elitebook 2530p is announced. This EliteBook 2530p is powered by Core 2 Duo ULV 1.2GHz or Core 2 Duo LV 1.83GHz, up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM, up to 160GB hard drive or 80GB SSDand the integrated GMA 4500 HD video card.

It comes with a 12.1-inch LCD 1280×800 display, SATA DVD+/-RW writer, SD card slot, Bluetooth and WiFi. You can get also the optional EVDO/HSPA mobile network module. It also has all of the usual HP business stuff like a biz card reader, lots of security and encryption tools, and the trackpoint nipple if you don’t like trackpads. Display is LED-backlit and you have a few different battery options. And hey, besides being touch, we’re always sort of a sucker for brushed metal. With Genuine Windows Vista Business,

The HP EliteBook 2530p will be available by early September starting at $1499. No news on the UK launch as yet.
