Dell announced two new affordable laptop PCs, 15.6″ Dell Vostro A860 laptop, 14.1″ Dell Vostro A840 laptop, Vostro A180 and Vostro A100 targeted at emerging economies.
The Dell Vostro A860 laptop is an affordable 15.6-inch laptop equipped for handling everyday business tasks. It offers an HD widescreen LCD with anti-glare coating, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB RAM, up to 160GB hard drives, DVD burner, Bluetooth, WiFi and your choice of Ubuntu Linux or Microsoft Windows Vista operating systems.
The Dell Vostro A840 is a 14.1-inch version of the A860 laptop with an anti-glare WXGA widescreen LCD. It offers the same practical technology for mobile business computing, but for small business customers who value mobility and compact size at an affordable price offering.
The Vostro A180 is powered by Celeron or Pentium dual core processor and users can also choose from Ubuntu Linux and Windows Vista.
Lastly the Vostro A110 is an entry-level business laptop powered by Intel’s Atom processor, and it runs Ubuntu Linux.
Pricing for the new Vostro products will vary by configuration.
