Sony Bravia KDL-52W4500 is a 52-inch Full HD LCD TV offering 1920×1080 full HD resolution, 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and 20W audio output power. It comes with digital tuner and has three HDMI 1.3 inputs.

Acer, in conjunction with DisplayLink, announced on Friday the availability of a new USB computer LCD monitor which, despite the dependence on the CPU rather than a graphics chipset, still supports Windows Vista’s Aero Glass interface as well as other 3D functions. The 22-inch B223 display features a 1680×1050 resolution and DisplayLink’s DL-160 network display chip that lest users connect up to six of the monitors to a single PC or notebook via their standard USB 2.0 ports.

Thanks to the DisplayLink plug-and-play technology, users can quickly connect the screen without having to install drivers without having to install drivers in Windows; DisplayLink offers separate Mac drivers for USB monitors but hasn’t said whether the B223 is supported. The B223 offers 32-bit, true-color graphics and 5ms response times. The monitor, along with a keyboard and mouse, can be added to notebooks via a single USB cable, creating a mobile workstation. The B223 has height, rotation and swivel adjustments, allowing users to set it up to their liking.

The Acer B223 is now available now in Europe, priced at the equivalent of about $430.

Acer and DisplayLink announced their latest 22-inch monitor today. This USB computer LCD depends on the CPU to run instead of a graphics chipset, but does support various 3D functions, surprisingly, like Windows Vista Aero Glass interface.

This new monitor measures in at 22-inches and sports a 1680 x 1050 resolution. It also has the DL-160 network display chip from DisplayLink. This makes it so you can connect up to six of these monitors to a single computer.

This one is true plug and play. All you have to do is connect the screen. There are no drivers to install and for Macs, they offer a special driver. Other features include a 5ms response time, 32-bit true-color graphics and more. You can get the Acer B223 USB Computer Monitor now in Europe for what equals about $430.

Seoul, S Korea — Dec 31, `07 — LG.Philips LCD announced today that it will showcase its newest line-up of public displays at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2008 in Las Vegas.

LG.Philips LCD’s innovative new technologies for public displays center on increasing interactivity and viewability.

Multi-touch interface capabilities create a never-before-seen level of interactivity by allowing users to manipulate objects on screen, using both hands at once and even offering the precision necessary to recognize handwriting.

Another technology, transflective backlights, tackles one of the key challenges in developing public displays: readability in all lighting conditions, including direct sunlight.

52-inch Multi-touch Screen – World’s Largest Multi-touch Display
LG.Philips LCD’s 52-inch multi-touch panel for public and interactive displays is not only the world’s largest, it is also one of the most responsive, able to recognize input from either a touch of a finger or more precise writing instruments. It uses an infrared image sensor that gives it the ability to recognize two separate touch points as well as gestures. It boasts some of the industry’s highest specifications, with a 90 Hz touch response time, 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution and a light transmission rate of 95 to 100 percent.

47-Inch Triple View LCD – World’s Largest and Highest Resolution Triple View Display
LG.Philips LCD’s 47-inch Triple View LCD features Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, can reproduce 1.07 billion colors and has a brightness of 250 nits. This display is an ideal solution for applications such as store directories and advertising at shopping malls. By splitting the light from the panel into separate paths, it is able to show three completely different images to people standing at different angles relative to the display.

47-inch Double-sided LCD for Public Displays
LG.Philips LCD’s 47-inch Double-sided LCD is two-sided display that uses a single backlight. At only 70 mm thick, it is 30 percent thinner than conventional models, but its luminance of 500 nits equals that of regular panels.

42-inch Transflective LCD for Outdoor Use
LG.Philips LCD’s 42-inch transflective display for outdoor use boasts an impressive 1,500 cd/m2 luminance in outdoor light, greatly improving daytime readability. The display is equally effective at night, relying on the power of its backlight. By adopting a special transflective technology, LG.Philips LCD has developed a backlight that greatly enhances the viewability of an LCD panel during all times of the day.

84-inch Multi-vision Multi-touch LCD for Interactive Public Displays
LG.Philips LCD’s flagship multi-touch display is an 84-inch model created by conjoining four 42-inch panels in a two-by-two array. This acts as a single enormous display with multi-touch capabilities across its entire surface. A screen bezel width of only 15mm, which is 40 percent smaller than the average bezel, adds to the panel’s seamless look and feel. The display also has Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, an omni-directional 180-degree viewing angle and impressive 500 cd/m2 brightness.

Samsung has previously launched a bunch of new SyncMaster LCD displays, here and here, but that’s not enough. The Korean electronic giant rolls out in Japan another SyncMaster LCD, the 22-inch T220P.
Samsung SyncMaster T220P features 1920×1200 WUXGA native resolution, 50000:1 contrast ratio, 300cd/m2 brightness and 170/160-degree viewing angle. The 22-inch T220P has HDCP DVI-D and D-sub inputs. sourse

Not that we’d expect any reputable digital picture frame manufacturer to consort with a real, live hand model, but we’ve gotta hand it to Giant International for discovering this particularly unnatural, eerily glowing appendage to point vaguely at its new Intouch IT7150. Lucky for us, the device in question is not at all cheap and uninviting, featuring a 7-inch 800 x 480 LCD touchscreen, 802.11b/g WiFi, USB to PC connection cable and the standard complement of memory card slots. What makes this particularly fun is vTuner support, which allows for play back of 11,000 radio and TV stations (primarily public access and other undesirables on the TV side), in addition to the increasingly standard FrameChannel service for photo sharing and RSS subscriptions. There’s also a built-in rechargeable battery for about 1.5 hours of portable use. At $349, you’re certainly paying a pretty penny for all these good times, but if vTuner isn’t your bag, you can drop that support and pick up the frame for $299. sourse

LG Electronics has released yet another LCD monitor, this time on the 24-inch widescreen category and codenamed LG W2442PA-BF. The LG W2442PA-BF is a HD LCD display offering 1920×1080 resolution, 300cd/m2 brightness, up to 10000:1 contrast ratio thanks to the F-Engine, 2ms GTG response time and 170/160-degree viewing angle. It has integrated 1Wx2 speakers. Additionally, LG W2442PA-BF packs a set of build-in speaker and HDCP compliant DVI and HDMI inputs. The 160/170 (vertical/horizontal) viewing angles suggest a TN film panel just like the rest of 16:9 aspect ratio LCD panel we’ve seen so far. Price and availability have not yet been announced.

Sanyo introduces the new PLC-XW57 3LCD projector. The Sanyo PLC-XW57 features a 1024 x 768 resolution, 2000 lumens brightness, 85% uniformity, 1.2x wide range zoom lens, and 1/2x to 16x digital zoom.

The XW57 has the Digital Realized Interpolation Technology (DRIT) for supporting input signals with resolutions from UXGA to VGA and the Digital keystone correction with a range up to ±20 degrees.
