UMPC Portal has unboxed the Raon Digital Everun Note UMPC. It’s beefy inside despite its tiny size, packing a dual-core CPU—AMD Turion—which, according to the makers, is a first. The Everun Note is a netbook added by an an AMD Turion 64×2 Dual Core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM.

Lenovo has officially announced the ThinkPad W500 and W700. Lenovo describe the new W series as the most powerful laptop. The ThinkPad W500 is equipped with a Core 2 Duo T9400 processor 1GB of DDR3 memory, ATI Mobility FireGL V5700 with 512MB memory. Fujitsu have today finally confirmed their netbook, the AMILO Mini Ui 3520, at IFA 2008. First up, the Mini Ui 3520 will feature an 8.9-inch WSVGA display with a 1024 x 600 resolution and it will be running Windows XP Home Edition. The Amilo Mini Ui 3520 is powered by an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, and 60GB or 80GB hard drive, 1.3-megapixel webcam, and battery life is quoted as in excess of four hours.

Samsung has just unveiled its latest slim laptop that is lighter than Macbook Air. The laptop is really lighter than the (MacBook) Air by 3oz. X360 is only 0.66-inch thick, we’ll take that as a dig at the fact that the 13.3in Samsung X360 is in fact a shade lighter than the MacBook Air at 1.27g. Inside there’s a 45nm Core 2 Duo mobile processor, mated to a 13.3-inch 1280 x 800 pixel LED-backlit screen, there’s a 128G-byte SSD (solid-state drive).
